Golf Club Regripping FAQs
-
Most golfers should replace their grips every 40–60 rounds or about once a year. If you play frequently, practice often, or notice your grips becoming slick or worn, it’s probably time for new grips.
-
Common signs include:
Slippery or shiny grips
Cracks or splits
Hard or smooth rubber
Loss of traction, especially in humid weather
Needing to grip the club tighter than normal
Fresh grips improve comfort, confidence, and consistency.

Yes. Worn grips can reduce traction, causing you to grip the club tighter, which may lead to inconsistent swings and reduced confidence. Fresh grips help you maintain a secure, comfortable hold.
